Tom Mitchell

Managing Director

Tom Mitchell is a Qualified Engineer and experienced Business and Operations Manager with twenty years experience in the Industrial Services, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas and Waste Management Industries.

Tom has broad experience across all aspects of business including Safety Leadership, Financial Management, Engineering, Operations, Administration, Business Development and Strategic Planning, where his remit has covered Businesses Operations and Projects in most states of Australia as well as Singapore and New Zealand.

During his career working in both the publicly listed and private sectors, Tom has managed and overseen multi-disciplinary businesses of up to 70 staff, successfully delivering on complex Industrial contracts across Asia Pacific to Tier 1 customers, including: Caltex, Royal Dutch Shell, ExxonMobil, BP, Viva Energy, RNZ, CPB, Ventia, John Holland and Thiess-Degremont JV.

Tom joined CKI Industrial in 2019 as General Manager and was appointed to the role of Managing Director in 2021.

Robbie Cullen

Projects Director

Robbie’s expertise covers many aspects of the Industrial Services Industry including: Personnel Management, Customer Service, Plant Management (Implementation of Systems), Project Tendering, Project Management, Shutdown Planning, Shutdown Management, Operations Management, and Business Management.

Robbie has consistently delivered over the past thirty years on Major Industrial Projects, for customer such as Caltex Kurnell & Lytton Refineries, Viva (formally Shell) Geelong, Mobil Refinery Altona, Qenos Vic & NSW, Huntsman Chemical Company, Hexion Melbourne (formally ORICA-(ICI), Koppers Carbon Materials, Alcoa Point Henry and Ford Geelong.

Within his role as Projects Director, Robbie is also providing mentorship to our Project Managers and Operational Supervisors; passing on the skills, knowledge and expertise he has learned over a long and successful career to ensure CKI Industrial continue to exceed our customers’ expectations well into the future.

Jim Ilievski

Non Executive Director

Jim is an energetic and qualified Senior Management Professional with over 20 years broad-ranging experience, including; Project Management, Line Management, Cost Centre Management and People Management. Prior to founding CKI, Jim served as the Director of PMO at Goldman Sachs JBWere

Jim is an effective leader who can communicate powerfully across all levels of an organisation. His reputation as a warm and inviting personality, inspires confidence within his employees, whilst building ownership, openness and delivering results. A true professional with a reputation of providing excellent service to customers at all levels, Jim also possesses a genuine passion for helping others through training and coaching.

Jim is an active member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a founding director of the CKI Group and CKI Industrial.

Chris Cullen

Senior Project Manager and Company Director

Chris has been working in the Industrial services and Waste Management Industry for the past twelve years. Chris initially started as an operator and progressed through the business levels to become a Senior Project Manager while still maintaining his expertise with on the job experience.

Chris has gained vast experience within his key involvement in the Caltex Kurnell NSW Tank Decommissioning Programs, well as the Koppers NSW Tank Cleaning Program. Chris has played a key role in the development of the “Cleaning Standard” at a major client site, which was of great significance, as it identified the most cost-effective methodology, equipment and pressures necessary to achieve the required cleanliness for our customers to maintain API compliance.

Tommy Daly

Accounts Director

Tommy has been working in the Industrial Services and Waste Management industry for fifteen years. Tommy has extensive industry experience and has worked for a broad range of Tier-One customers, as well as playing a pivotal role on many Major Projects in the industry.

In his current role, Tommy is responsible for developing key accounts and providing liaison between our operational staff and client base, to ensure that our customers are completely satisfied with our services. Tommy is a strong motivator of personnel and has excellent negotiation skills, coupled with strong leadership values. Forward thinking and very objective, Tommy prides himself on being completely customer focused.

Bert Ilievski

Non Executive Director

Bert is a qualified A Grade Electrician and has been working in the Commercial and Industrial Services sector for the past twelve years, perfroming various roles. Bert developed his skills on major mining sites, where he progressed through Supervisory and Senior Project Management roles, to now working as the Client Relationship Manager for CKI Industrial. Bert has excellent knowledge of Industrial Relations and is able to maintain effective dialogue between internal and external stakeholders across a number of our Civil Projects.

Bert also serves as a Director of CKI industrial, CKI Systems and the CKI Group.

Wayne Funston

Non Executive Director

Since 1984, Wayne has been actively involved in the Industrial Services and Waste Management sectors. With extensive expertise in the operation of various Vacuum and High-Pressure equipment,

Wayne’s journey began as an equipment operator and progressed through roles such as Supervision. Eventually, he achieved the position of Director at PICSAXLO (Vic), a prominent force in Victoria’s Industrial Services market during that period.

Throughout his career, Wayne took on the role of Project Manager for significant ventures including shutdowns and major initiatives at establishments like Shell Geelong Refinery, Qenos – Altona, Huntsman Chemicals (West Footscray Plant), Mobil Altona Refinery, Orica Deer Park, and the comprehensive tank degassing and cleaning at the Terminals A Coode Island fire site cleanup.

The PICS-AXLO entity was acquired by Collex Waste Management (Veolia) in 1997, at which point Wayne assumed the position of Collex Industrial Services Manager for the Shell Geelong Refinery.

Subsequently, Wayne co-founded Paramount Industrial Services, headquartered in Melbourne, alongside his co-director Robbie Cullen. Wayne played a pivotal role in driving Paramount to become a premier Industrial Services Company in Melbourne. This endeavor led to the establishment of a joint venture between Paramount and Transpacific Industrial Service in 2006, where Wayne remained until 2014.

Wayne also contributed as a Non-Executive Director at Active Industrial Solutions from its inception in 2014, until its acquisition by ASX-listed Toxfree Solutions in 2016.
